Project overview
Influential print design is a project I undertook to study and write up about the history of print. In this publication, I personally wrote up the content based on historical prints, along with creating the designs for the inside pages.

This publication was of the first I had created where I was able to experiment and play around with grid systems typography due to the vast nature of the research I undertook for the content. By not having a brief to go by, I had more freedom of creativity, experimenting with more elegant design styles.

Results
The result of this publication was the creation of informative content for those interested in the history of print, particularly graphic designers, diving into the timeline until we reach the present day.

As an addition to the Publication, we created promotional materials to advertise the publication. I continued to experiment with Pantone's, and use pink and teal green to create a design as duotone on paper.
The logo for the publication was initially designed to be placed on a black page. In experimentation with conflicting binary elements of black and white, I wanted to create another duo-toned design to determine the look of the logo. The result we have in the polished punk, teal, and white bookmark. These colours feel less intimidating to the eye compared to the black and white design.
In an attempt to experiment with typography, I created a poster for the publication depicting the launch date. As the publication has a black and white cover, and colourful collages inside pages, I wanted to experiment with typography rather than colour and shapes.
I created an interesting arrangement of the lettering, taken from the original logo design. Inspired by the posters of MoMA, I took their experimentation of design and created a new logo that managed to embody the same design and style.
