Capturing the luscious curls and waves from a fresh blow-dry and style. This image is the main illustration for the Blow It Out campaign as it is the most common hairstyle for clients to request. The illustration is the face of the social media campaign that was carried out on the day. Light pink hues were added to compliment the illustration while also bringing through the pink branding of Full Spectrum Collective.

just a blow

project overview

This campaign was created to launch the new salon space for Full Spectrum Hair Concept, at Full Spectrum Collective. Along with the launch of the salon space, the campaign was to display the additional Saturday styling blow bar and beauty service that we named “Blow It Out”.

After months of planning, we organised a photographer, videographer, a DJ for the event with long time clients and promoters attending the event. This event was to capture the friendliness of FSC, the values they hold, the services the salon provides, and to give a taste of what Full Spectrum Collective will offer to the public in the future as a new collaborative space.
design role

My role was to design the service cards for the clients and illustrate images for print and social media. Capturing the essence of the pink, modern branding, I wanted to extend the branding into line art and typography. Inspired by the current trends of printed line designs, I created minimal illustrations that depict the four services and their corresponding hairstyles that will be offered on Saturdays. The goal of these designs was to convey the services as visuals for clients as it is hard to truly understand what will be done with phrases and sentences. Using images picked by the hairstylists, I was able to draw these out by outlining the main elements, and finishing it off with a splash of pink hues in the background to tie the branding together.
"Minimalism illustrations capturing the visual idea of the services provided for clients".

A continuation of the blow it out campaign. The sister print. The other side of the card is a list of makeup choices that the salon makeup artists offer on Saturdays. Created to suit the multiple ways of application, and focus, this list was designed for the multiple needs of clients, such as ball and wedding makeup to simplistic, minimal makeup for more casual events.
This side of the sheet is relatively the same, duplicating the Bebas Neue typography and handwriting downwards with a cascade of illustrations to its right. These illustrations use more colours to define the certain areas of focus for these makeup services allowing clients to understand with visual prompts what process is with each service.
