The project at hand

From original concepts cultivated in my first few years of designing, I decided to revisit old work and update it. The original design was inspired by the combination of the F in ‘Fire’ and the S in ‘Sight’, drawn within a flame. I had been so drawn to this concept and was proud of my work, and I am still proud of the results. However, from Chanel, Dior to Cartier, and so on, all use simple minimal designs that captivate the world.

Design challenge

High fashion labels have strong branding with their simplistic minimal designs. Inspired by these labels, I have redesigned this logo to make it modern and luxurious, to fit in with the concept of high fashion.

The brief of fire sight was to create a design that uses a simplistic minimal approach, to depict the idea of an accessories brand. In this case, I took the concept of cutting into the typography and splitting these elements to depict an interesting type.

The typography chosen was Futura PT, which was turned into a vector and redrawn to include the curves that fracture the design from both the top left corner and bottom right side that resulted in the final, minimalistic design for Fire Sight.

Mood board

Moodboard Mockup Freebie.png

In the process of creating a logo, the first step when deciding elements to utilise within a design is to create a mood board of what you envision.

A mood board can be anything from images to experiences, food smells, and touchable objects. These can be anything that inspires you.

These help designers remember what elements were the most visually appealing when creating the design. These can be used as prompts to inspire innovative creations.
